And so my blogging journey begins...

I wanted to start a blog on my home business. So here I go! Get to know me a little..

My name is Jaime, I am 26 years old and a mother to 3 girls... Yes, I already have 3 children at 26, what can I say? We started early! My oldest is 5 going on 20, my middle child is 2 going on 14 and my baby is just about 7 months old. I'm married to my soul mate, Jason since October 2002.

My life is hectic, busy, exciting and exhausting! I'm not just your typical housewife, I am a Air Force Spouse. You know it is one of the hardest jobs out there! On top of my wifey duties, I am one hard working mama, and I am proud of that!

I stay at home full time with my children, we play, bake , cook, clean house and are preparing for Kindergarten. I wouldn't have it any other way! We live in an area that is full of historical sites, so we take lots of family field trips to visit the numerous attractions.

If you know me, you know that I am ALWAYS looking for a DEAL or a way to make some extra cash. I sell stuff on Ebay from time to time, craigslist, post stuff on my Facebook account or have a yard sale. I'm a coupon clipper! I never shop with out my coupons!

I love my life, can't wait to see what the future holds and to watch my family blossom, see the country maybe different parts of the world, who knows where the military will send us!?

During June of 2008 I decided to take a shot at starting a home business. The thought of doing direct sales never crossed my mind until I stumbled upon a product called, Scentsy one day while I was browsing the Internet. I was immediately intrigued by the name and the fancy font and I clicked on the consultants website to learn more. After reading about their products I was already in love!

I have always been a huge candle FREAK! After having kids I was scared to have my candles going in my home. In fear that my children would burn themselves, or knock it over and catch the house on fire. The concept of using a LIGHT BULB to melt the wax is such a brilliant idea! I was so sold on that concept that I knew just at that moment that I wanted to be a part of this company! I just knew I had to share these candles with my mommy friends, and what better way then to have a party at my home and show off these safe candles!

That is just what I did... I signed up, I set my date to have my business launch party and the rest is history!!!

I am so excited to be able to share with you my love for Scentsy, and the reason why I named this blog, DITCH THE WICKS!!
